Pomegranate mascot

Pomegranate mascot

First take the butter out of the fridge and let it soften at room temperature. Then mix the cocoa with water and boil it on a steam bath, let it cool well. After the butter has softened, rub it with the flour until it becomes a frothy cream. Add the yolks and mix until they are well incorporated. After the cocoa has cooled, pour a little, little by little over the butter cream and mix lightly, not to cut (I cut a little, but I seasoned it) At the end we add the pomegranate seeds. We put the cream in the fridge and prepare the icing, which will give it the shape of a mascot.

We grind the chocolate well and then we melt it on the steam bath. With a brush we grease in a thick enough layer muffin tins. Shapes that we put in the freezer. Separately, on baking paper we form chocolate circles, which will become the base of the mascot. I used 10 shapes of silicone muffins, bigger and 6 smaller. After they have hardened, we open the shapes nicely and fill them with chocolate cream, place the lid and put them on decorative papers.

To enjoy the precious pomegranate juice, you have to go through the hard shell and not at all easy to handle, as well as the fear of coloring the walls in bright red.

But there are a few methods by which you can clean pomegranate easily and quickly. Here are two of them:

The quick method - Cut the pomegranate in two halves. Prepare a bowl. Hold the pomegranate in your palm and hit it hard with a wooden spoon or a spatula as in the VIDEO movie above.

Or The classical method - cut one end of the pomegranate and increase the fruit lengthwise, from centimeter to centimeter, then pull it down until the pomegranate looks like a flower. Then take a spoon and beat lightly on the back of the fruit until all the seeds fall into the container. You can do the same maneuver, except that you can put the notched pomegranate in a bowl of water, in which the seeds are much easier to detach from the fruit, then take them with a foamer. 3. The container in which the liquid is stored must be hermetically sealed.
