Now, both children are home in the morning and are always looking for new recipes for the first meal of the day! The breakfast tortilla is extremely versatile and easy to prepare! You can fill it with whatever you like and it's ready in 5 minutes on the grill or in the pan!

Breakfast tortilla - what else can we use for the filling?

Given that we practically have four quarters of tortilla that we have to "fill", I propose some nice combinations:

  • cottage cheese + honey on a quarter, then on the other chocolate cream with hazelnuts, banana slices, strawberry slices
  • natural cream cheese, liver pate, tomato slices, grated cheese
  • peanut butter, slices of caspune, strawberry jam, cream cheese

Ingredients for 6 servings of Breakfast Tortilla:

  • 6 tortilla Snack Day
  • 6 tablespoons salsa Snack Day

Divide the tortilla visually into 4 quarters and make a single cut, in half.

They are made so easy that you stretch one, bake another and the job goes smoothly, in a maximum of one hour the sheets should be ready.

Ingredient:

  • 480 g flour
  • 5 g baking powder
  • 6 g salt
  • 80 ml vegetable oil
  • 280 ml of warm water

Method of preparation:

In a bowl put the flour, salt and baking powder. We mix them and make a hole in the middle of it.

Add water, oil and mix with a spatula until it becomes inefficient, then move to manual kneading.

Knead until it comes off the walls of the bowl and get an elastic dough, quite soft and slightly sticky, do not add more water that will come out dry. We leave it aside for 10 minutes covered.

Remove the dough from the bowl on the work surface and knead for another 5 minutes.

Let it rest again for 10 minutes and then divide it into 16 equal parts.

Spread each piece of dough on a work surface sprinkled with flour 24 cm circles.

Bake on a hot pan for 40-50 seconds on each side, you don't need more, as they are quite thin and otherwise they will dry out.

Tortilla with 3 cheeses

ingredient:

  • 5 eggs
  • 100 ml. of milk.
  • A pinch of ground black pepper.
  • A pinch of salt.
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 50 grams of grated Parmesan cheese.
  • 50 grams of Mozzarella cheese in pieces.
  • 50 grams of Emmenthal cheese in pieces.

Method of preparation:

In a bowl, beat the eggs well with a little salt. Add to the beaten eggs a little ground black pepper and milk, we will beat again.

Put a little olive oil in a pan to heat. Add the beaten egg and, on low heat, let it cook only the bottom.

Then place it on one side of the tortilla or in half pieces of cheese and fold until the tortilla is closed.

Cook on low heat so that the egg tastes good. Remove the tortilla from the heat and place in a bowl or microwave.

Place the grated cheese over the tortilla and turn on the grill oven and heat until the cheese melts.

Tortilla with fine herbs

  • 5 eggs
  • Ground parsley
  • Chopped chopped.

I have often made this Spanish recipe for tortilla al horno or baked omelette with cheese, sausages, potatoes and other vegetables, especially for evenings spent with friends or family. It is a fine snack that can be easily sliced ​​and served both hot and cold.

I do not go into details about the Spanish tortilla with potatoes and eggs that can be prepared in many variants, they differ from one region to another. It can be fried in a pan (then it has a circular shape) or it can be baked in a rectangular tray in the oven. "Baked" means "in the oven". Potatoes can also be boiled beforehand or put raw, it can contain ham (ham), tuna, seafood or chorizo ​​(Spanish sausages) and the vegetables used can be onions (most often) but also tomatoes, peppers, garlic. , peas, etc.
