2 Nixons Ramen Pop-Ups by Jeffrey Stoneberger
Chef Jeffrey Stoneberger is on the move again, this time with a series of ramen pop-ups called 2 Nixons. On November 11, he will be at Proof serving dishes like tonkotsu ramen and spicy sesame seed miso.

Charleston Coffee Cup
Celebrating the Southeast’s coffee culture, the Charleston Coffee Cup takes place November 8 and features coffee tastings, latte art and roaster competitions, and a special brunch. Touted as a “coffee connoisseur’s dream,” the event will have coffee by Anchor Coffee Company, Broom Wagon Roasters, Charleston Coffee Roasters, and Revelator Coffee Roasters to name a few.

Charleston Food Film Festival
Back for its third year, the Charleston Food Film Festival on November 11 through 13 will feature 18 food films and kicks off with an exclusive opening night screening of the World Premiere of Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown - Charleston, presented by CNN. Chefs and beverage pros will bring the films to life with a taste of what is shown during and then following at the after party. The event supports GrowFood Carolina and Slow Food Charleston.

Craft Brew Races Hits Charleston
For the first time ever, the Craft Brew Races will be in Charleston on November 7. The event includes a 5K run/walk around the Riverfront Park in North Charleston that ends with a craft brewery tasting with two dozen breweries. There will also be food trucks, live music, and more. A portion of the proceeds benefit South Carolina Brewers Guild.

Feeding Charleston Book Party
On November 15, The Lowcountry Food Bank will host a book release party for the recently published Feeding Charleston book. The book is a celebration of Charleston’s cuisine and features stories and recipes from over 30 of Charleston’s best restaurants. $10 of every book benefits the food bank.

Lowcountry Field Feast
Held on a local farm, the Lowcountry Field Feast is an annual favorite event for food lovers. This year’s Feast on November 8, takes place mid-day at 1:30PM at Fiddler’s Green in James Island. Chefs Frank Lee, Kevin Johnson, Robert Berry, Chris Stewart, and Suzanne Stewart are collaborating on a delicious Sunday supper to benefit Lowcountry Local First.

PBR Mural T-Shirt Release Party
Who doesn’t love a good t-shirt release party--especially when it involves PBR and The Alley Charleston? On November 6 from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., The Alley will be selling limited edition t-shirts by local muralists David Boatwright for $25 a pop at the PBR Mural T-shirt Release Party. As sponsor, PBR will offer $1 cans and some free swag. There is live music, food specials, and more.

Piggy Bank Dinner at The Macintosh
Chef John Fleer of Rhubarb in Asheville, NC will join Chef Jeremiah Bacon for a special Piggy Bank Dinner on November 17 at The Macintosh. The family style dinner with wines by Grassroots Wine serves as a benefit for the Southern Foodways Alliance and tickets are $125 per person.

Taco Tequila Kombat Season III
The Taco Kick Society, a society comprised of fans of tacos, tequilas, tattoos, and Luke’s Skywalker’s home planet of Tatooine (seriously), hosts the seminfinals for Taco Tequila Kombat Season III throughout November. Season three features several weeks of competitions amongst local restaurants and bartenders on November 2, 9, and 30 at Burwell’s. Restaurants battling it out for the finals with the best taco and tequila pairing include Cannon Green vs. Republic Garden & Lounge and Prohibition vs. The Americano. The event benefits Rescue Charleston and is $20 at the door.

Poogan’s Smokehouse
The owner of Poogan’s Porch have just opened Poogan’s Smokehouse in the previous location of their wine bar, Social, at 188 East Bay Street. The new concept features dishes like cornmeal fried catfish, maple leaf farms duck purloo, shrimp and grits and barbeque including pulled pork, St. Louis ribs, and pork belly.

Nashville Hot Chicken in Charleston
Chick’s Fry House has kicked off Nashville Hot Chicken every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Served by the piece or the basket, hot or extra hot, hot chicken is available now in Charleston!
