RECIPE PREPARATION Potato stew with sausages and bacon:

To start, peel the potatoes and cut them into larger cubes. Finely chop the onion and sauté it together with the bacon and the sliced ​​sausages in the hot oil. After they have hardened, add the potatoes, a few sprigs of thyme and a rosemary. Let them take the flavor of the fried sausages for about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally so as not to stick. Then we put 450-500 ml of water, a cup of white wine, paprika and peppercorns. Potatoes should be covered with water to boil well. Let it boil over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Add the tomato sauce, salt and bake at 200 ° C for another 20 minutes. When we take it out of the oven, we taste to see if we need more salt and we put the finely chopped parsley. This is all!

1. Peel and cut the potatoes into thin, round slices 2-3 mm thick. Boil the potatoes in boiling water for 1-2 minutes, then drain as well as possible.

2. Combine garlic powder with thyme, rosemary, pepper and salt to taste. Grease the scalded potatoes with oil, then sprinkle them abundantly with the spice mixture and mix for distribution.

3. Place 2 strips of bacon as long as possible, one after the other, lengthwise, with the hard part (if any) cleaned. Place potatoes on top of each other until they cover the bacon strips almost completely.

4. Roll the potatoes on the bacon as tightly as possible. Place each potato rose with bacon in a muffin tray, with the bacon strip down.

5. Bake the potato roses at 180 degrees for 35 minutes, or until the roses are browned and the potatoes are penetrated.

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 clove of crushed garlic
  • 1 teaspoon sweet, flavored paprika
  • 1 bunch of finely chopped green parsley and pepper
  • optional: 1 bay leaf
  • optional: a bell pepper or 1 tablespoon of pepper paste
  • optional: 1/2 tablespoon tomato paste

Preparation of simple, fasting potato dish (stew):

1. Heat a 1.1 / 2 saucepan over medium heat to 2 liters. Add the oil and immediately the finely chopped onion, the crushed garlic and, if you use it, the chopped bell pepper. I repeat, the use of peppers for potato stew is optional. I happened to have an orange bell pepper in the fridge and that's how it ended up in this combination. You can give it up if you don't or don't like the taste of peppers too pronounced (because we'll add paprika anyway). Sprinkle the onion with a pinch of salt from the beginning and cook over medium-low heat, to soften without browning.

2. After the onion has softened, add the sweet paprika and, if you use it, add the pepper paste (optional). Quickly mix the paprika in the hardened onion and immediately add 1/2 liter of hot water, because the paprika caramelizes easily and changes both its color and aroma.

3. Add in potato cubes. It is important that they be somewhat even, so that they cook at the same time. If necessary, fill the potato stew with hot water, just enough to cover the potatoes. Add the bay leaf (only if we want) and salt to taste.

Baked potatoes with bacon, cheese and dill

Peel the potatoes, cut them in 2 and cook for 15-20 minutes. 5-10 minutes before removing the potatoes, fry the bacon. After frying it (not until it becomes crispy, it will be done until the end when you put it in the oven), cut it into thinner strips (optional).
